Immigrant South Asians are particularly prone to depression and the underlying Mental Health issues and it remains under-diagnosed and under-reported condition in our community. Recent Coronavirus Pandemic has likely exacerbated the situation. APPNE is offering free Mental Health Consultation Service to help our community members during these difficult times. Services available in English, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Hindi & Gujarati. All consultations are free of charge and will remain private/confidential. All services will be provided via TeleHealth and you will be referred for in-person visit if a medication prescription is required.

Graduate of Barry University, Miami Shores, FL with over 29 years of experience. Noreen practices in Pawtucket, RI and specializes in bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, stress management, OCD behavior & adjustment issues with assimilation.

Rifat Sharif, MD

Graduate of Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore with over 32 years of experience. Dr. Sharif is affiliated with Worcester Recovery Center & Hospital, Worcester, MA & University of Massachusetts Medical School and specializes in General Psychiatry.

Perveen Rathore, MD

Graduate of King Edward Medical University, Lahore with over 32 years of experience. She is the Medical Director of PHP at HRI Hospital, Brookline, MA. Dr. Rathore specializes in General Psychiatry as well as Child/Adolescent Psychiatry

Sadaf Ali, MD

Graduate of Fatima Jinnah University, Lahore with over 15 year experience. She works at Providence VA Medical Center and is Assistant Clinical Professor at Brown University, Providence, RI. Dr. Ali specializes in General and Geriatric Psychiatry.

Zafar N. Naqvi, MD

Graduate of Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi with over 26 years of experience. Dr. Naqvi is faculty at Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA and specializes in Psychoanalysis, Addiction Psychiatry, General Psychiatry and Eating disorders.
